The meaning of life is to find your gift“: Here’s how you can discover your soul’s purpose!

Why are we here? What is the purpose of existence, and especially, of my existence?

If you have ever asked yourself these kinds of questions, you are not alone! Welcome to the group of souls who aim to bring each other home by finding deeper meanings and connections!

We are all in this together, trying to find our soul’s purpose in existence.

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” – said Pablo Picasso.

This sentence hits. Think about it. You came to this Earth for a very specific reason, and it may not be so immediate to find it, but once you do, are you going to keep it for yourself? Or to share it with the world in order to raise the collective’s energies?

Finding your unique gifts, then sharing them with the world, is probably one of the only certainties of the true reason of our existence.

Finding your soul purpose

Finding your soul purpose

As sad as it might sound, if you don’t truly search for what makes your heart burst with joy, you may be condemned to live a miserable existence for the rest of your life. One of those lives where you only exist, but you forget to live. Where you count down the hours, the

days, the seconds, only to wait for the weekends. Where you get a stomach ache on Monday mornings because you wish you were doing anything else but that. Where you realise you live for the joy of future moments and forget to be present.

You may isolate yourself, feel lonely & empty or experience an existential crisis. By disconnecting from your truth, your authenticity and your purpose, you might do an injustice to yourself, but this doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with you, and of course, you can always try to better yourself in order to change your life in a more positive way!

On the contrary, finding your divine purpose will help you live a meaningful life, which will contribute to improving your physical and mental health. It will allow you to live joyfully, creatively, and fully. It will make you want to wake up early in the morning just to start doing what you came to this world for. You will truly realise how the meaning of life was exactly this, to find your own unique gift!

Why am I here?

Why am I here?

Asking yourself existential questions such as:

Why am I here?
What is the purpose of life?

Can be extremely terrifying and scary, but it can also be thrilling and exciting at the same time.

The cool part is that you’re not the only ‘weirdo’ asking yourself these deep questions! Most of us do, we are all wondering about existence, about our role on this planet, about why we are here and what we are supposed to do.

If you constantly ask these questions to yourself, or even if you have asked this just once, you are on the right track. It means that you are curious, you are a seeker and you aim to find deeper meanings to life. Having this urge is always a blessing and it will take you places, and if you don’t you can start now.

The questions that arise within yourself are always important. You can try asking yourself deeper and more specific questions that can support you to find your true purpose.

Finding your purpose isn’t supposed to be hard, let’s make it fun!

Finding what lights up your soul shouldn’t be something heavy on your mind and heart, it should be like a thrilling game to play which makes you feel an unbelievable level of excitement deep within you.

Take it lightly, don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s ok not to have it all figured it out yet! We weren’t born with all the answers, so just be kind with yourself at any time!

You can try answering simple and fun questions, to reconnect with your authentic nature.

1. What did I love as a child?

When you are born, you are like an empty white sheet. When you grow up, that white sheet automatically gets filled with some colours: the place where you were born, the family, the society, the friends you grow up with, the school etc….

You come to this world as an empty canvas, but someone else paints it.

Your authentic nature slowly fades away and gets replaced by conditionings and society drawn by the environment.

This is why many times you probably think you know who you are, but mostly, it’s what your friends and family think of you, what the system wants you to be.

This question is really important and truly deep. When you are a kid, your white canvas was still pretty much empty, before society and conditionings could grab it and colour it with their own chosen colours. So, if you try to think back at what you were really drawn towards, what you loved doing, what you were fascinated by, you may connect the dots and find really interesting ways towards a forgotten passion of yours.

2. What makes you feel excited and passionate now as an adult?

Ok, now you have grown up and you’re no longer a kid. As much as your childhood passions and memories are important, so is what you have become. What is something that truly makes you happy? It can be anything from going to the cinema, hanging out with friends, reading a book, or helping people.

Try to think about daily moments that make you smile, from the most simple ones, to big occurrences that have happened during your life. It will make you focus and realise many things.

3. What are your values/what is important for you in life?

This is another super important question to ask yourself, and a topic to think about. Yes, passions and interests are one thing, but what about your values? What do you really care about?

There must be something that is so close to your heart, something you aim to achieve or to fight for. A cause, a way of living, a mindset, a group of people. Take the time to write them down and visualize what they truly mean to you.
